As a local union, we meet frequently with the employer to discuss work related issues in relation to each individual work group. To fairly represent, we appoint members who perform the work, to sit alongside your local union leadership on these joint committees. (Dialogue Committees)
Committee members may change from time to time, not only to give a fresh perspective, but also to give others who are interested an opportunity.
The Dialogue committees are not an avenue to bring forth personal agendas and the conduct and views must adhere to the mandate set out by the local.
