We are the 2000+ education workers that work for Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. We have over 100 positions within our local. We represent clerical, maintenance, custodial, professional, and more.
Our area reaches from Clarington in the west, to Quinte West in the east, all the way as far as Apsley.
Our local consists of 4 executive members. The President, Vice-President/Chief Steward, Secretary Treasurer and Recording Secretary. We have 3 chairs. The portfolios for the chairs are Health & Safety, Injured Workers and Job Evaluation. We have many stewards, 3 trustees and a membership officer.
We belong Area 4 with the OSBCU which also includes Durham (both Public and Catholic School Boards),Trillium Lakelands District School Board , PVNC Catholic District School Board, Simcoe County School board & Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
We are a part of the CUPE Ontario school board sector.
A CUPE National Representative is assigned to each Local. The rep assigned to our local at this time is Gobi Sooriyakumar.
