Custodial Vacation

Dear CUPE 5555 member:

A recent memo was sent from custodial services in regards to the use of vacation time this summer. I’m sending this email to clarify that: at no time did your union agree to this .

It is disturbing to see that the memo was written in such a way to lead you to believe that we agreed to the outlined changes.

I can confirm that it was discussed at  joint labour management meeting’s, however, it was clearly stated and noted that we strongly disagreed with any changes to our current practice.

We will be submitting grievances to fight this change.
