BILL 115 Remedy

cupe5555 Uncategorized

Dear CUPE 5555 member,

The employer was able to get the system set up in time to process the Bill 115 remedy payment on todays pay, instead of the first pay in Feb. as previously communicated.

If you qualified for payment and did not receive it on your pay, please contact Penny Barrett in H.R.penny_barrett@kprdsb.ca

I have also attached a memo from the employer below, for anyone who has been questioning the implications of having the payout listed on their regular pay.

Ron Maguire

Attention Employees Employed 2012 – 2014

For employees who received the REMEDY payment on the January 26, 2018 pay, please note that it was processed as a non-taxable payment. It was also subject to no source deductions as directed by the Ministry of Education.

This payment will not appear on your 2018 T4.
